Fizzy Sidewalk Paint

This bodily function trumps ordinary sidewalk chalk with a bit science magic by creating a chalk-founded blusher so spritzing on a little sparkle. It all starts with pH. When solutions that are pH stand mix with an acid, action happens!

Materials:

  • Large mixing stadium
  • 1 (1-pound [454 g]) box bicarbonate of soda
  • 1?2 cup (63 g) cornstarch
  • Warm water
  • Several containers to hold the paint
  • Food coloring
  • Paintbrush(es)
  • Spray bottle filled with vinegar—1 per baby
  • Buckets for cleanup

In a large mixing stadium, merge the sodium bicarbonate and the cornstarch together. Add the warm (most hot) water, stirring until it is the consistency of pancake batter. Split the formula into several containers, adding the food food color color of your alternative to each.

Use the homemade paint to create a scene or flick it with a paintbrush into a current masterpiece. It is world-class to work fast because the key dries quickly (but fire forever be diluted with the addition of more warm water).

Once the painting is in place, it is time for something a niggling extra. Nebulise the artwork with the vinegar-filled bottle and watch what happens. Your art will sizzle and pop with Fizzing Sidewalk Paint!
