i've tried this three times and the lights still come on. what am i doing wrong?
AintBigAintClever Vor 10 Tage
Is the car on a level surface?
Do the lights come straight on or is it only after you start pulling away? If it's the latter then I suspect the second half of the procedure isn't going properly.
Excellent, thanks. Probably saved me a fortune by not having to take it to the dealership.
Hello, corolla e12, its gona work?
Thank you
Will this work on the north American version of the LC 100
After a mental breakdown
After 2 attepms
The hardest challenge has been beaten
Did as you did, they are still on! I have a 2003 Lexus GS 300 Sports Design
You are a Legend! It worked. Thank you
Life savior. This worked!
excellent great video - steps have to be done quiet carefully! I did it on the 2nd go Thanks for sharing!
How about for a Lexus Ls460 2008 VSC OFF.Engine check
AintBigAintClever Vor 2 Monate
I used to have that when my car had a misfire. Misfires were one fault where the car would throw its toys out of the pram and deactivate VSC. Clear the engine fault code using a cheap OBD tool and the VSC light will clear along with it.
I have a 1998 Aristo V300 Vertex Edition, I will try this and give an update here later.

Im doing the same on my exakt same year and moddl now
The second part didn't do anything for me, they light flashed for the first part but the second part they didn't go crazy and the lights are still on…..
Eric NelsonVor 2 Monate
@AintBigAintClever yes a 2001 gs300, the first part made the three go away but the VSC stayed flashing 3 times and wouldn't stop, then part 2 didn't do anything, the lights came back on and nvr started to flash again.
AintBigAintClever Vor 2 Monate +1
Was that on a Mk.2 GS300 or something else? Both steps use the same pins (E1 and Ts), so it's odd that one would work but the other wouldn't.
Will this work for a 2008 Lexus LS 460
I tried thjs million times doesnt work
This is absolutely the most in-depth comprehensive approach to this issue that I've seen anywhere outside of a stealership. I mean dealership š¬. Gonna give it a whirl. I'll check back in and let you know where I came out.
I tried doing the technique but the lights went back on as soon as I drive away. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Thanks for the video it works very well, but Im having an issue after I did this, now sometimes the traction control briefly kicks in when I set off from stationary and it shouldn't, got any advice on that? I've done the recalibration 3 times now
Mr TVor 6 Tage
@MR. MAĆ My 01 GS did what you are describing did you ever get issue resolved? This is what I did to fix that issue, disconnect both battery cables and put them right back on . Then started her up let idle for 5 mins for idle relearn. Drove off braked to a stop all was good no stutter no lights. May help or not but nothing will get damaged or make things worse with this method.
MR. MAĆVor Monat
@AintBigAintClever Oh yeah that's natural far as years you've had it. I've recently got this one in its 17th year.
AintBigAintClever Vor Monat
@MR. MAĆ I got used to it, I assumed it was from when I knocked the car off the jack trying to get the rear drum off. Eventually sent the car to auction as it would've cost too much to get it through its next MOT (lots of little things starting to go on it).
I'd kept it for 14 years though, and it was nearly 3 years old when I bought it. Damned good car.
MR. MAĆVor Monat
@AintBigAintClever Dang, you never fixed it...So you just deal with that, or gave up the car?

Does this reset the diagnostic history? I need my car smogged last time the vsc/engine lights came on I simply disconnected the battery but it reset everything & one sensor wouldn't read for the smog test because I wiped out the history š¤·♀️
Tried this and blue my radio
going to try it so far i have read the comments and everybodys happy hopefully i can join the club!
Absolute legend. Tested on 01 Gs300 2jzge that had similar problem. Last time I fixed this was by disassembling the middle console and doing list of tricks. This was so much easier, worked with a small piece of wire.
THANK YOU!
Brilliant, thank you for taking the time to post this
my favorite part is at 3:04
'i hope some of you find this useful. its taken me 11 monthes to edit this, and i dont even own the car anymore,'
vsc, track off and engine light was on on my Lexus es330. I disconnected battery for a minute and all the lights are off.
AintBigAintClever Vor 8 Monate
If that's all it took then great. If the yaw and deceleration sensors need recalibrating then you'll find the lights will come back on as soon as you drive off.
Nice intro n service advice
thank you, I will try to find it and fix....... Maybe you can help and with this one symbol, RX300 Lexus I have for a few days and Engine Warning Light.
So, how did you get it to disable the traction control? That part wasn't really clear. I guess you can't do a tutorial on that part if you don't have the car any more, but was it just clearing the codes with that particular OBDII adapter? Maybe include a link to the adapter?
AintBigAintClever Vor 11 Monate
The codes were all cleared using the piece of wire. The OBD adapter is what got me into trouble in the first place as it wiped the calibration on the sensors when it connected to the car.
You just saved me a fortune in parts thank you so much for your video very very helpful
Disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds and then connecting it again did it for me. I suggest you try that first since it is much easier option. If that doesn't work, try this video suggestion.

AintBigAintClever Vor Monat
@Ryan DuDerty If you disconnect the battery you'll find that the car will turn over, but not start. To fix this, leave the key turned in the ignition (so the car is powered-up but not started) for six minutes, then try starting it.

@AintBigAintClever can we elaborate on this please..leave the key in the ignition for 6min. After the reconect..??

AXtelVor year +1
@AintBigAintClever Nevermind it worked like a charm thanks mate really thankful for the vid
AintBigAintClever Vor year
@AXtel Hmmm, could be a sensor or wiring fault if the reset doesn't clear it.
The other thing that would trigger them was an engine misfire code, that'd take VSC along for the ride until you cleared it. Obviously you'd have a check engine light lit as well if that was the case though.
AXtelVor year
@AintBigAintClever but the thing is when I turn the key into accessory mode (not turning the engine on) it doesn't show the VSC VSC OFF only when I put it into gear and press on the gas throttle
AintBigAintClever Vor year
Yep, that's the exact problem this video should help you solve. It's because the yaw and deceleration sensors need to be recalibrated.
Excuse me how i can find the name or numbers on the fuse box
AintBigAintClever Vor year
@Cesar Chavez the fuse box lid will detail the fuses in that fuse box, not any of the others.

@AintBigAintClever in the engine or in the dash board ?
Well thenak you so much. I had a gearbox error code diagnosed, got my GS300 back and the vsc off light was on. This fix worked and cost me 1 paper clip. At Lexus in Den Haag I would have had to pay about €150. I was very sceptical on first viewing: completely misplaced. Once again, thanks!
Can you tex me all the onform
Thank you it worked. I was about to look into selling my 1999 GS300 when the VSC and VSC OFF.

@Nurgisa I think S2 is beyond the front cat so it might throw an engine light with a P0420 "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold" error. Mine used to do that on petrol (but not LPG) because one of the front cats fell to bits and was an empty pipe. Didn't affect performance.
NurgisaVor year
@AintBigAintClever if my oxygen sensor doesn't work B1S2 will it help driving without any check engine?
AintBigAintClever Vor year
Are you also getting a Check Engine light? Misfire codes will also trip the VSC lights and disable VSC. Clearing those codes clears the VSC "fault" as well.
Thanks dera im done its work im so happy im save my money
Worked the very first time! Cheers mate!
Can it be done with 06 Lexus gs300
Any different for us models you think ?

I thought I had left a comment on here last night but it's not here anywhere. Anyway, you sir are a legend. I tried this and it worked on the first try like a charm. No more wondering if we are going to lose control in the rain or worse. Had no idea this was sort of common on these 2JZs. Many thanks!
Had same problem after some Lean Burn codes were Cleared...Will get it Zero Calibrated
First part worked! Second did not. Any suggestions??

Have you seen @TheGreymaster7's comments regarding leaving it for 2 minutes?
Thanks man my mechanic just did that to me
I got an Aristo, which is the JDM version of the car. Got the same error, I tried this and it takes it away but only for a couple of minutes at a time. Anyone has any idea on why? And how I can fix it?

@Gentleman Zeta Phew...if all those Lights are accompanied by a Pinging sound...it could be the ABS unit (accumulator)
Gentleman ZetaVor year
@AintBigAintClever My TRC / ABS / VSC + 'handbrake' lights are on. Maybe the hb is the same as checkengine? Tho it isn't misfiring, runnin' real smooth.
AintBigAintClever Vor year
Are you also getting a check engine light? Misfire codes on my GS would also trip the VSC and VSC OFF lights, clearing the codes would make VSC happy again.
Thanks mate! Worked like knife through butter!
Although for all others asking about the VSC light not starting to flash with the ABS, dont worry about that, just give it about 2 minutes, than turn the ignition off, even though it didn't start to flash, and continue with the steps in the video. Worked for me :)

No worries. It should be doable with the OBD port as well (after all that's how Techstream buggers it up) but the under-bonnet port is easier to work with.
