Rated 4 out of 5 by Andrew Cooper from Great Training, Prepare for a mess So far, we have skated, stick handled and shot from our Synthetic Ice tiles about a dozen times. My son and I are goalies. The surface, for sliding, is great for building strength in the push. The surface, I would equate to the ice at the end of about 45 min of practice...you can slide, but there is a decent amount of resistance. With the skates, we have produced a significant amount of plastic shavings. By sliding with the goalie pads, the static produced keeps the shavings basically stuck on your equipment and clothing. My wife was not thrilled with us using them in the house! So far, we are loving the product, and should probably order more!

Rated 2 out of 5 by drownsoda416 from Not Worth the Money and Extra Skate Sharpening I had been wanting these tiles since they first came out. When I got a 10-pack for Christmas, I was so excited but then became disappointed after one use. You really can't do much in terms of skating practice with the 10-pack alone. It's just not enough space. At first, I was considering buying more boxes, but then there is also the issue of dulling your skates. One video I watched recommended sharpening them after 1 hour on the tiles. I found my skates were really dully after just 20 minutes. If you really want to use these, then I recommend buying multiple boxes and also a home sharpener, but that can get really pricey. Ultimately, I decided that just going back to using my Bauer inline skates is the most cost-effective way to practice at home.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Johnsssssss from Spent about $2k on these, shouldn't have I have a 20'x20' area filled with HockeyShot Revolution skateable tiles in my garage. Completely stopped even trying to skate on them because it just feels like you're using your skates on plastic, really really not like ice at all. Plus the amount of shavings it leaves creates a huge mess whenever you want to practice. Then you need a Sparx to sharpen after 20 mins ... just wasn't worth it. They're great for practicing shooting, passing, and stickhandling, but skating not so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lee J from Worth the price This is our second set of 10 purchased at Pure Hockey. These are great for stickhandling, shooting, and passing. We are slowly stocking up to have a little sheet for our kids. Friction isn't the same as ice, but we have noticed a huge positive difference between these tiles with real pucks and street picks on smooth concrete.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boca Brad from Great fro the Backyard These tiles are exactly as advertised. They provide a great surface for the kids to shoot from. They use real pucks on it and it slides perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Hockey Shot Synthetic tiles The product is great and my kids are continuing to use it instead of the video games. My sons shot has improved In such a short time. Being on skates simulates the same effects and balance as being on the real ice. Two thumbs up! Mike H

You shouldn't ruin your wheels. You may find that sport court tiles are the best option for inline players. Thanks!

What kind of wear does this cause on your skates? I used synthetic once at an event and my skates were chipped up something awful.
Asked by: lilb
there should be little to no wear down on the skates - the synthetic formula on the tiles offers the slickest and smoothest skating experience with very little wear on the skate blades

According to the HockeyShot Tile Calculator, you would need 168 tiles to cover that space. This item is sold as a 10 pack so you would need 17 boxes to cover the whole area. Thanks!

Are these waterproof
Asked by: wojhockey63
These are UV protected and also treated to be weather-resistant. I wouldn't say these are 100% waterproof. Without knowing your end goal with these I would have a hard time giving a clear answer. If you plan to use these outside the intended use we may suggest checking with HockeyShot directly. Thanks!
